Dear Friend in Christ,

On September 8th we will celebrate the Birthday of Mary whom Jesus has given to us as our Heavenly Mother. How will we honor and celebrate her?

 

May I suggest that Mary herself gave us the answer! When Mary appeared to Saint Catherine Labouré and revealed her Miraculous Medal, she told Saint Catherine, “Come to the foot of the Altar. There graces will be shed upon all who ask for them.” Mary wants us to ask for God’s graces for our families and our world through her intercession.

What an excellent way to honor Our Lady on her birthday by taking a few moments now to write your personal prayer intentions on the enclosed BLUE response form and sending them back to me before September 8th in the envelope provided. These intentions will be placed at the foot of Mary’s Altar at the Shrine.
